We also breed horses, and put on a horse show – in fourteen languages. We welcome visitors to see our greenhouses, and then enjoy a taste of european casinos the crop. Their five children, Dóróthea, Karítas, Matthías Jens, Arnaldur and Tómas Ingi, all play an active part in the family business.

What can we offer

Find Icelandic expertise in renewable energy and circular solutions. In total, there are around 40 horses at Friðheimar. Currently, there are two to three award-winning breeding mares on our farm and we only use award-winning stallions for breeding. Emphasis is placed on a smooth tölt, with a good foot lift and fast pace, preferably spacious five-gaited horses. It is a valuable resource for us Icelanders to have access to good and abundant spring water for irrigation. Visits to the greenhouses are available all year round for prebooked groups.

We offer double or twin rooms with private bathrooms, towels and bed linen. Hot tub on the terrace, private bathroom, and kitchen. A spacious and comfortable cottage suitable for 8 adults and 2 children. Private bathroom, kitchen facilities, and a cozy terrace.

Surrounded by nature’s beauty, our cottages provide a cozy and comfortable retreat. Green energy, pure water, and biological pest controls make our tomatoes tasty and healthy. The tomatoes are grown all year, using state-of-the-art technology in an environmentally friendly way.
